Brief

"Son of Abish" is a widely popular online variety show, that features hilarious weekly news take downs & celebrity guests who talk & perform for the audience.

​

Out Of Syllabus is an Animated Series on #SonOfAbish, which speaks about important subjects we as adults need to unlearn and be better at. For the third episode in this series, we tried to plead to everyone who is in a comfortable position, to pay their help, during this pandemic. We wanted to spread awareness amongst people about the plight of most house-helps, who depend on the salaries we pay them at the end of every month. That is their only revenue stream. Times are tough for everyone, and we wanted to get this important conversation going amongst everyone.

The video's concept was similar to the first two of the series (Episode 1 and Episode 2) , to showcase important ideas through a series of nursery rhymes.

Process

The film was hand drawn and colored using a digital tablet in Adobe Animate (formerly known as Adobe Flash) and composited on Adobe After Effects. 

​

The lip sync animation began only once the entire film was animated.

The 2 and a half minute film was completed in a 28 days, from storyboarding to final delivery.

​

The film was in running as the semi Finalist for the best music video at the EQAD Film Festival, The Midlands, UK.
