Brief

Sorabh Pant's "Make India Great Again" is a political comedy special, in which, the artist goes on to speak about the current political climate in India and makes a number of current affairs related observations. The show was named to make a statement about the same and the visuals for it too were designed accordingly.

The Logo

An existing font was taken and customised to fit the theme of the show. After going through different font options and designs for the logo, this particular one was chosen as it embodied the nature of the show the best. I decided to use a bold slab serif with some distress grunge textures to symbolise the "lost greatness" of a nation . A 'great' nation (symbolised by the bold slab serif font) that lost its glory (symbolised by the grunge and erosion on the font). The glint on the letters symbolise the fact that the process to make it great again has begun.

This is how the logotype came together.

Poster Design

Two versions of the poster were designed with two different logos. For the second option, the idea was to animate the "great" being pulled up in the logo formation during the title animation. But since there was no logo formation in the show, the thought would've been half- conveyed.

The first one was selected as it complimented the theme of the show better, with respect to the the colors used, the show image and the overall aesthetics.

End Credits

I conceptualised and executed the end credits of the show to feature behind the scenes images from the live show, along with pictures that communicate the nature of each department. The process involved going through 500+ pictures from behind the scenes and selecting the best ones to go alongside the relevant credits. The memorable silhouette of the artist made for a great frame for all the pictures to appear in.
