Synopsis
IDFC FIRST Bank launched its Hello Cashback Credit Card with a spunky one-minute animated film showcasing the card’s features and benefits. The credit card was brought to life as an animated character, taking viewers through its key highlights.
Brief
The film had to be fast-paced, lively and informative, communicating multiple features without feeling overwhelming.
The director provided the storyboard, character design and broad background requirements, created using AI.
Process
Based on the storyboard and 3D character renders, we designed the 2D world around the character—creating the backgrounds, typography animation, phone screens, graphic elements, transitions and overall compositing.
We also art directed the visual language across the film, including colours, fonts, element design and transitions, while staying aligned to the brand guidelines. The background movement and action were built around the character animation and camera motion, helping the 2D and 3D elements work seamlessly together.
The final film was well received and used by the sales team at events and pop-ups to promote the card.
Process

Using the above as a base, the character design and the overall treatment of the film was decided. The 3D animation team created the animation basis the animatic made using the above storyboard, post which, we designed the motion graphics and layouts for the film.
